Sorry I haven't been around in ages....Got a new job! Im a Sys Admin now lol!!! and moved to a new city and stuff. So how have you guys been? Whose got the keys to the bar?

as for who is around, just the [VERY] few die hards
we have been dead in water for a couple of years now, but we refuse to go, well, at least not while bar is stocked

we do however, drop in once in a blue moon to hurl abuse at each other, so nothing has really changed

According to some stupid website dedicated to pretending to understand SysAdmins and interview questions. Read the following and respond with the proper / real SysAdmin answer - number each of your answers with the number of the original question posed. Supplied are the stupid website answers to the questions posed...

Question 1: What happens when I type this at a shell prompt: “telnet http://www.wikipedia.org?”
Stupid website answer to question one; according to stupid website: “How much time do I have to answer? Fifteen minutes? Great. I’ll walk you through every step and connection in the process.”

Question 2: A HTTP monitor says the website is down. You can telnet to the port. What do you do?
Stupid website answer to question two; If the Web page is up when I telnet to the port, I’d ask how long the monitor has been down. Then, I’d check to see if the outage was due to flapping, a system outage or a system overload that occurred during back-up. I’ll modify the monitor, once I identify the issue. Should I describe my troubleshooting process?”

Answer 1 and 2 are correct chaos - however number 3 is incorrect. The correct answer to #3 is LOG all the p0rn, not block.
