Baby numero dos

So I'm officially a father of two now. Let me tell ya, two is definitely more than one... Also watched my wife deliver without an epidural or meds of any sort. It was probably the most hardcore thing I'll ever see. Freaking intense! She knows she has bragging rights too. It's one of those automatic argument winners. "I just pushed a baby out of me with no pain killers. What the fsck have you done lately?"

So now I'm chasing a two year old who loves to push her boundaries whenever she can. Tomorrow I get to try and work from home while chasing this two year old. That should be interesting. Hopefully I don't drop any payroll databases by accident.

Congratulations dude!!! How the hell did you talk her into not taking meds lol. Is it a boy or a girl? Sleep will be a thing of the past pretty soon so get some while you still can!

I was all about the meds. She just didn't want them. They can make labor drag out longer than it has to, and we were already at the 30 hour mark. She just wanted to get it over with. Also, recovery is a lot faster and you're less likely to injure yourself if you don't take the meds. The pain sucks but it tells you when to "take it slow" to avoid problems that will prolong recovery.

Also, it's a girl. :) Looks like I'm quite outnumbered now.

Sleep is hard to come by. Work is letting me work from home this week, so I can sleep all the way up until the point when I'm supposed to be online. No getting ready for work, no driving an hour each way...it helps. Next week is gonna suck though.

There's one consolation though, pain is an emotion you can't remember. You can remember you had pain but not the pain itself.

Congrats keezel!!! Babies are great! Enjoy! My daughters always seem mystified when I yell at them now or ask them to do things like clean their room, because when they were younger I never did. When they ask me why...I try to explain to them that anything you do under the age of 10 really isn't your fault, but once you hit those double-digits...well...

time to start ownin' up
