Anyone used remanufactured toners?

My Samsung laser is needing a new one and OEM are £60-80 about double what they were the last time.

I can get a remanufactured toner for £25-45. I trashed a few inkjets with remanufactured carts in the past so I'm not so keen to do it with the laser. But if it's going to be £80 I might as well just get a new colour laser.

We have used them....but they can streak and I had one leak all over the laser where we then had to clean and change the imaging module....we dont use them anymore. We did a lot of printing....it was a flawed refill...shouldnt have been recycled IMHO. they do work...I think it was the odds we would get a bad one for the amount we were using.

Just use an ink jet at home....we rarely print nowadays. I got the kids saving homework to USB keys and then printing at school 8) .

SWMBO is a teacher and does a pile of printing at home. But we have been getting about a year from a toner. £50 bucks a time is ok but £80 is starting to smart.

Hmm she's been on about colour for a while anyway. Need to give it some thought.

I find some of the newer printers use less of the toner ...we were changing the toner once every 6 weeks or so on most machines...lots of printing. This is in an office where all office persons have their very own printers...as it takes too much time for them to get up off thier lazy fookin butts to use the centralized xerox...and I still dont understand the need to have a gazillion hard copies of anything in the first place

dont get me started... :angry1:

the chances of us having a bad one was way higher then you using one once a year.

In one year we had 2 explode all over the insides of the machine...one was fixable...the other we just tossed.
