Any genuine food item you are advised not to eat or to eat only minimally.

But any MANMEALtm said to comprise of MANFOODtm must be predominantly meat with a lesser proportion of carbohydrate and only trace fibre/vitamin/'goodness'.

Therefore fried doughnuts would be MANFOODtm but you could not make a MANMEALtm out of them.

They would be a MANSNACKtm

I can see a whole range of products already :good:

EDIT>

Noooo, Manfood.com is taken
So is Manfood.co.uk
Feck so has Manfood.net

Manfood.biz is available!

I bought, awhile back, the domains lackohumoratosis.com and spankilicious.com ( two words I coined on Twitter  ..actually spankilicious wasn't new someone already coined it on the net, but lackohumoratosis was brand spankin' new )...

still haven't done anything with them yet :D

Ok, midafternoon MANSNACK then - since I kicked arse on my corporate inspection this morning...

1 Route 44 (that's a 44 oz drink) Cherry Limeade with extra cherry, served to me by a delicious young redhead.
1 Corn dog on a stick. For you brits, it's a hot dog dipped in something quite similar to pancake batter, then deep fried.
1 mini-frito-pie. Here's another regional thing that caught on big in the US - take Fritos chips, throw 'em into a basket, smother them with chili and onion, coat liberally with shredded cheddar cheese, then nuke the whole mess until it's good and hot. I took a mini because the corn dog and the full-on frito pie would've been a bit too much after the szechwan (damn that spelling!) beef I had for lunch.

I'm still drinking that cherry limeade *burp*

but all this time I thought a MANSNACK was that very same delightful young redheaded bird who served me this whole mess. MANFOOD != MANSNACK

What about MANMUNCHIES?

All this talk of MANFOOD is getting me hungry again. I've been trying to control portions until I can get my first pay check into my bank account (not a local bank so deposits are next to impossible - direct deposit hasn't kicked in yet)...paying rent, deposits, hotel rooms, food, house equipment, and other purchases for the last 2 months hasn't been kind on my wallet, lol.

I made this for dinner Sunday:

The bean and cheese dogs look tasty - and most definitely qualify as MANFOOD. Hang in there Timaxe, hopefully ddep will kick in soon.

Today's MANFOOD:
Pancakes stacked 4 deep with lots of little smoky sausages and Vermont maple syrup, well-doused with gallons of hot coffee.

Lunch will be: TACOS! (yep, it's Taco Wednesday, I don't forget these things) courtesy of my favorite Taqueria.

Supper is still undecided - I'm wavering between BBQ Ribs or southern fried catfish. Either meal will be accompanied by cold beer and plenty of fried taters though.

Today's MANFOOD:

Breakfast: Coffee, and lots of it.

Lunch: Shrimp Po'Boy sandwich - This is a cajun delight which originated in the depression days, when a workman's wife would make a sandwich for his lunch out of whatever they had for supper the night before. Now it's representative of a fine french bread roll, cut for sandwich, then stuffed full of lettuce, tomato slices, fried shrimp with plenty of cajun spice, and either mayonnaise or tartar sauce (I prefer mayo on mine).

Supper: Pretty unsure on this yet, but it's looking like it'll be a fat chicken Torta from the taqueria and papas fritas.

Yesterday I had a breakfast burrito! Sausage, eggs, salsa, and hot sauce. I skipped the cheese this time...more room for HOT SAUCE!

This was from a few weeks ago...I learned a lot from it because it didn't turn out tasting quite the way I wanted it to, lol. Basically I added too much butter and not enough good cheese...I forgot how greasy cheese got when melted. Possibly too much flour also...but I think it was the butter that made that stand out. Finishing it with a bake in the oven might have redeemed it also...but you live and learn. I don't think my arteries have fully recovered yet from this one, lol.

Now, wait just a darn minute!

There's green stuff in that dish! GREEN STUFF! Looks like little bits of broccoli. That is certified healthy stuff! Not MAN FOOD!

Can't have any healthy stuff in MAN FOOD.

Should have been chopped up brats or polish sausage. That would have tipped this one into the record books.

Today's MAN FOOD -

Homemade Deermeat (yep, Venison to you 'You're a-peein 'ers') Chili!

Now Note that I DONT use beans in my chili - that's for tomorrow night to stretch it a bit.

I usually serve it up over Frito's corn chips with copious amounts of shredded cheddar cheese on top - Frito Pie style, but after tonight (I make 10 gallons of the stuff at one shot) I'll just grab a bowl cold out of the fridge.

It's perfect for a dreary autumn day.

And since I'm playing round with Deer meat cuisine, I'll add in this recipe just for shits & giggles:

Deer BBQ (that's barbeque to you yankees) -
Take the remainder of one well-smoked Deer ham (shank, hindquarter, whatever you wanna call it - we call it ham) and shred it stringy-style.

Add in liberal amounts (usually a bottle or two depending on the amount of meat you wind up with) of Kraft KC Masterpiece sauce, plus one can of lager beer. Mix well until every list bit of meat is coated in sauce.

Cover bowl, let sit in fridge overnight. Great for sammiches - both hot or cold.
