I am excersizing atm.. I quit smoking and at the same time lost ~5kg's and not by dieting..
Instead of thinking: "Ugh.. I need a smoke.. Let's eat something."
I was going: "Ugh.. I want a smoke.. Let's do something.."

I've had some talks with psych types.. and they don't seem to think I need any expert help.. (You'd think they'd want to sell themselves.. seems some of them do have their heart in the right place.)

Be careful here, one way to aid in quitting smoking is to delve into things or get busy, but if you get too busy it can have the reverse effect (time away from the important things...like the other half..), it's going to be a delicate balancing act, so in the words of Bill Murray...."Baby Steps"... :P

Oh yes.. I agree.. But the things I kept myself bussy with involve my wife, dog, and house.. I hate paying money to excercise .. I'd rather go for a bike trip ;)
I don't think I'm in danger of scaring off my wife ;) If anything she kind of thinks I'm spending a bit too much time with her..
So I'm still trying to find a balance there.

lol....I remember, early in my marriage while I was with the Navy, seemed like I was gone for like 10 months of the year, then they posted me ashore and it was like..."your in my face 24 fecking hrs, can't you go back to sea or something"..... took awhile to get used to each other again... :P

Well.. we are now officialy in the proces of divorce..

I still kind of hope her feelings for me come back in the proces and we can cancel the procedings in time..

Worst case scenario .. we have to sell the house.. share the debt and all that.. both find a new place to live .. and have a debt of 15 to 30.000 euro's each..

We are looking into changing the mortgage in a way that she can keep the house.. and pay for it by herself..
We share the other loans and the likes.. and have a bit less of a debt..

Sorry to hear that.

Hope things work out for the best.

What I've heard from friends and the likes that have been in divorces before, as soon as you both get a lawyer .. there is no chance in hell to part as friends..

I still want to make this the least uncomfortable..

Easiest would be for me to just go and find a small affordable appartment somewhere..

Ok an update..

First mediation session (divorcing with only one lawyer) will be 14th of February..
We'll propably have to sell the house and it will leave both of us with a debt..

I'm actively looking for a nice small rent appartment to live in for a year or two.. To decide what I want to do.. Where and how I want to live.. Stuff like that..

Gonna be paying of the debt and saving some money..
And doing fun stuff I skipped in the past because of my wife.. Like more computer meetings and stuff..

Love is: starting the legal part of your divore on valentines day..

No benefit debt is a pain...I know...I'm still crawling my way out too...

I sympathize you paying for a house you won't even be able to live in or benefit from...like throwing cash to the wind...

but...it'll get better...it will ;)

Jinx...I really hope things are better for you in 2007, just like I hope the same. I just went through a similar issue although I wasn't married...just lost everything. Best of luck and you know we're here if you need anyone!

Linda is staying over at two friends of ours in their guestroom..
I've started the "sellability" plan for the house..
