Re: why NOT just post once, and do it HERE :?
and now YEARS later, still fecl all, so I reckon we can safely assume they DO in fact drop in drop their shitty load of SPAM and feck right off
YET, if they register with a proper Email, AND post a proper hello, they can spam away
we'll still cull them if the spam is shite, but we don't chop you away on sight - well, maybe a few

Re: why NOT just post once, and do it HERE :?
SO, lets reiterate this
if you want to join up here ............
make the account have a 'real' name none of this symbol bollix, or the unintelligible mash of random letters
make the Email address valid, with a valid user section, ideally associated to the name of the account - maybe
once in, post in this intro section
say hi
give an overview of you and your basic wants from the forum
add posts to various threads that are relevant
you will soon move to be 'trusted' member, and as such you CAN then have a signature with a link if required
you may even be allowed to post what WOULD have been classsed as a spammy post
it MAY get deleted, your account may too, ot all depends onhow much I've been drinking, and if I can be arsed giving anyone a second chance
posted here, in a public section to at least give you all a fighting shot og actually getting in here as a starting point

Taz = The Adminitrator Zone
What it may need is some actual activity involving technology and/or actual Administrator Advise
I do realize it takes our old members being active again, but it needs newer blood as well.
Also I'm not helping the matter.
Newer Technology we are using is:
Carbon Black/bit9
QRadar
Palo Alto
Forescout
Venafi
Cyberark
Accertify
Safenet
Proofpoint
Skybox
Secureworks
RSA DPM
Akamai Kona
I am sure there is more we use that I've left out
I am our Security Operations Center(SoC) Lead and all of these technologies are extremely necessary to hunt down threats
If you need more info on these technologies try Google or post here and maybe I can help

There are two rules for success in life:
Rule 1: Don't tell people everything you know.

Re: why NOT just post once, and do it HERE :?
you are, of course, absolutely correct
we do need new activity, and it has to be more related to what we face today, not what we peddled back then
as for new accounts, I AM letting a few in
but none as yet have posted to say Hi, or even a 'proper' post, the only 'new' posts I have found, are of a medical type
not even any decent pron
but I will take what you have posted, and do a quick google for them, to see what , if anything , I can add here, to try and get the ball rolling as it were
and hopefully, we shall pull back some of the old guard as well as some new blodd to kick start us once more

Re: why NOT just post once, and do it HERE :?
oddly enough, once I post to say I will try and get something added here, then life kicks off and I suddenly have zero time for anything bar sleep - eat - work
we will get some posts related to modern issues soon, I [sort of ] promise
