I did watch the openings ceremony and I must say, I was impressed. It looked fantastic.

Wish I could have seen it from your perspective. We had to suffer through NBC's take and it was boring.

I can't stand the Olympics :D And I love sports. But what they usually show an TV are the events that are the most incredibly boring ones to watch. I think there's 8 or 9 stations here broadcasting the Olympics and I'd rather watch racing turtles.

Well, NBC has made an unholy hash of the whole thing so far, not to mention making America look even worse in the eyes of the world. Just disgusted.

At least I can watch the good ol' Beeb. The Dutch public broadcaster has been airing all day too. Eurosport also has a lot of Olympics.

I was never much of a sports fan... I'm just waiting for her to come on:

We're a couple days in and I'm having trouble sorting out what I'm watching. Did someone already win a medal in the event we are seeing, or is this live/near-live, or what? Tried to watch fencing in streaming. Sat there with an empty arena for a while, some folks started walking out, then ads came on. Never did see any fencing.

One of the problems with the streaming service: Has this "Powered by Adobe" logo. So, now you know why it sucked.

I have 5 different channels I can view them on...:) sometimes the same sport is on 4 of them, but they do try to mix them up, slightly slanted towards Canadian viewers of course.... :breakfast:

Most of the stuff in the US is not live, or even near live. Especially if you are getting the feeds on the PST timezone.
Go read who wins medals, then go to a place showing the Olympics and try to get someone to bet you who wins.

Naw just back from Portugal, off to see the big hot yellow sky thing you don't get in Blighty.

Got to admit I'm quite enjoying the Olympics I like the more unusual sports you don't get so often on TV -

Archery
Women's beach volleyball
Weightlifting
Women's beach volleyball
Swimming
Women's beach volleyball
Water polo
Women's beach volleyball
Women's beach volleyball
Women's beach volleyball

Dice you might want to take a peek at our very own Jessica Ennis if you like a toned lady.

Or Victoria Pendleton

Dammit, I missed the beach volleyball :(

Ennis looks very fit but doesn't quite do it for me for some reason. Pendleton is definitely getting there

Did the women's synchronized swimming happen yet?

(Part of) the Australian synchronized swim-team:
