Very cool yes :D

but...

A material that is able to self-repair even when it is sliced in two has been invented by French researchers.

The as-yet-unnamed material - a form of artificial rubber - is made from vegetable oil and a component of urine.

OK...now how exactly did urine get factored in? :D

How it happened:

Charlie: Say Ralph, Pete keeps stealing all the margarine
Ralph: so piss in it...that'll teach him
Charlie: OK

several hours later

Pete: hey guys come here
Charlie and Ralph: What's up?
Pete: I was makin' a sandwich and every time I'd swipe the bread the margarine would come back together
Charlie and Ralph: Cool!

For those with a few thousand laying around it might be a wise decision to invest some into Arkema stock ;)

This 'could' be the next BIG thing. ;)

Women's tights is the main use I've heard of for this.

Pfftt - they just used Play-Doh, made a snake, cut it, put it back together and then pretended to stretch it. I did that with my kids, over the weekend, sans urine.

Thinking waaaaay too small Asp... what about car tyres... you get a nail in it, pull it out, change the flat and stick it in your boot, next day you go down the garage, re-inflate the tyre (as its had all night to remesh) and change the spare off again!

I'm sure there are loads more if you put your mind to it!

Perhaps they could hybrid my finances with some of this wonderful stuff.

The direction of this thread is pretty scarey.
