"The horror... the horror..."

If you have something interesting to say as a writer and it's readable...why not put it here so we can enjoy it with you...

"The horror... the horror..."

Of war, of peace, of death, of life
The dream of success the nightmare of failure
Humans, it seems, need to exit with strife
Need dramatic events to mark, or their lives are a blur

Gaza burns tonight, today, maybe forever
How far off is World War III?
Do we have a chance of peace and harmony together?
Or do we accept the horror and either fight or flee?

The more I learn, the less I know
The world is my oyster and stage
Do I want my part to grow?
Or just keep reading the script off the page?

Oh... snap, back to reality
I think I ramble again freely
I must remember not to question my sanity
When I know that I need sleep really

The horror, never goes away
It will always be here
It waits to found, understood, and okayed
As long as humans hate and fear

Oh, do not cry, rage or seethe!
Tomorrow brings a new day - you'll see!
And every day is a chance to start new!
We must destroy the horror, by not being fools.

enough i say for now, quit my flapping - to sleep!

[Homer's love letter to Marge written on a postcard] "Maybe it's the beer talking Marge but you got a butt that won't quit. They got those big chewy pretzels here merJanthfgrr five dollars??!!!? Get outta here."
