Re: NASA Images Show Oil's Invasion Along Louisiana Coast

I smell...."Darth Cheney", apparently Haliburton is involved in this fiasco, and we all know he and Bush Jr had their hands in this...stay tuned, when it does go to court a lot of worms will come spilling out...So I am hoping there is a huge investigation into the running of these rigs in the deep w...

Re: NASA Images Show Oil's Invasion Along Louisiana Coast

Um ... http://money.cnn.com/quote/profile/profile.html?symb=BP Yes the HQ for BP is in London UK, that's a given, but the majority of personnel working and managing this particular rig are American, the regulations were overseen by MMS an American Governmental Agency. So whipping up the yokels to t...

Re: NASA Images Show Oil's Invasion Along Louisiana Coast

This is not a problem caused by BP UK. It is caused by BP USA. All of the recent BP bad publicity of accidents, near misses, spills, deaths that are making the headlines were also thanks to BP USA. BP USA has a largely US management and a largely US work-force. It operates under MMS rules - which ar...

Re: The Official Joke Thread

Paddy had been drinking at his local Dublin pub all day and most of the night celebrating St Patrick's Day. Mick, the bartender says, ' You'll not be drinking anymore tonight Paddy. Paddy replies, 'OK Mick, I'll be on my way then.' Paddy spins around on his stool and steps off. He falls flat on his ...

Re: Justice

Right, well then it's the investigative part of the Justice system that has let her down, everyone is fallible, no one is perfect and guess what? That makes us human.....if he is later caught due to DNA or whatever, then he has to suffer the consequences, as to the continued suffering of the family....

Re: Justice

It's obviously societal, we no longer hang children for stealing bread, so maybe we have evolved a tiny bit, eventually everyone will have a chemical lobotomy and there will no longer be crime...unless you own the company... Justice that uses the Jury system are fallible, but with improvem...

Re: British sniper gets two at 8120feet

We can do that easy. It just costs too much money so we don't bother. The recommendation is to have multiple emergency stop valves on the riser. They had one and it ain't working. But Obama is blaming the Brits as usual. It was a contracted rig owned and run by a US company (Transocean) based in Hu...

Even Monty Python couldn't have created a script such as what the Brits have been subjected to for 10 years... :rolf6: But considering what our esteemed bunch have been up to lately I can't throw any fecking boulders at big fecking glass houses....I'm voting for the weed party next time around, what...

Re: Ridley Scott Alien prequel

Would be good if Giger was involved again. You never know he might, it was James Cameron that cut him out not Ridley Scott. The basics won't change, I think Scott is planning a return to form more like the first. I've yet to see a 3D movie (other than in Florida) so I don't know how it will work. G...

Re: Ridley Scott Alien prequel

The 72-year-old director insisted his project will challenge James Cameron's Avatar in terms of 3D spectacle. He said: "Jim's raised the bar and I've got to jump to it. He's not going to get away with it." It might be interesting but it could also turn out to be complete overkill. We'll have to wai...
