Re: Men more different from chimps than women...

We men have known this for years actually. Watch an angry female. Now compare said female's actions with those of an angry chimp. Case closed. Good to hear genetics actually proved it though.

Re: Happy New Year

Ok, so I had a Geek Moment. What I didn't realize was exactly HOW BIG a geek moment it was. There's this cute guest that I've been sorta talking to over the past few stays here. She seems interested and interesting enough, but she is most definitely NOT a geek - not even knowing what binary code (or...

New Year's Food

Yeppers, today's a tradition in the |cehaus, and most of the south for that matter - For luck in the new year we eat: Black-eyed peas (representative of monetary income of the jingly type during the new year) Cabbage (representative of monetary income of the folding type during the new year) Traditi...

Re: Happy New Year

hrm. binary dates - this year will have 9 of 'em - 010110, 011010, 011110, 100110, 101010, 101110, 110110, 111010, 111110(that one'll be fun). As far as code, since it's not in octets, it won't translate to ascii, but I'm seriously curious now... The dates, in order, translate to the following decim...

Re: Did you ever...

thanks much guys! I'll give 'em a lookover and see what I can come up with. I'm also gonna go make polite inquiries with my local Book dealer and Video dealer (yep, I'm addicted to both, so DEALER is the appropriate word).

Did you ever...

Notice something and come to a realization, even though you really knew that the something you noticed existed the entire time? Yesterday after work I stopped by the local burger joint for my usual cherry limeade, but I wanted something else with it. The problem was that I've eaten everything on the...

Re: Ok, this just sucks ass.

There have been no updates to this story since 12/7, so I cannot say one way or the other if either of the two thieving bastards were caught. I have contacted the reporter who originally did the story via email and will post up his responses (if any) in this thread.

Re: Ok, this just sucks ass.

Here in Texas it's law as well - same moniker "Good Samaritan Law". Official charge is "Failure to stop and render aid" - a misdemeanor carrying a fine smaller than that of most parking tickets. It was adopted here to protect people attempting to help accident victims from lawsuits as well. Now for ...

Ok, this just sucks ass.

I've been holding off on posting this story because of the insanity involved. However, my faith in human nature is still intact, just swayed to the 'self-centered asshole' side in lieu of the 'good caring human being' side. The headline: Woman robbed after getting killed in hit-n-run accident Link: ...

Re: Man food (food that'll probably kill ya)

Man. I wait 12 days to post and you fokkers still can't keep me from doubleposting. Ok, here goes: MANFOOD for today - 40 oz Dr.Pepper off the Fountain loaded with cherry juice. 1/2lb Cheeseburger loaded with Bacon (no onions bishes, I like fresh breath), served with mustard, lettuce & tomato. Extra...

Broom Day!

I saw this one on the local news tonight and figured I'd give it a shot - it really works, see the pic I took below: Today the Earth, Moon, and Sun are so aligned in such a way that you can stand a broom on it's straws with no other support. Try it! Post your pic of it! http://i238.photobucket.com/a...
